Part of the reason MioStorie was created was to provide support & resources to women writers, because we know facing the blank page takes guts. Being a creative woman is a risky business & sometimes others seek to quiet those who use their creative voices.
It is our mission at Miostorie, to help those voices rise up. The desire to tell one’s story is a powerful one, and at Miostorie with Ms. Emely Rowan at the head are here to ensure that each voice is heard loud and clear.
Girls Scribes is an organization established by our lead writer & company founder, Emely Rowan. Ms. Rowan and our writing team at Miostorie have created Girl Scribes to further the advancement of young girls in creative writing.
Creative writing in many schools across our country is no longer being taught which we at Miostorie feel does a huge injustice to our young population. Creative writing offers so many benefits for young people that we have put together Girl Scribes to promote those benefits and to enhance the life of young girls through their creative writing.
Once every quarter we take submissions for creative writing from young girls ages 5 to 18 and our team of writers at Miostorie review each submission for consideration in our Girl Scribes Creative Writing Quarterly Challenge.
One winner is chosen and receives paid tuition for a 10-session creative writing workshop with the nationally acclaimed Writopia Lab, which specializes in writing for young people. Over a $1,000 value!
Miostorie and the partnership with Writopia Lab has been a long-standing effort to access the benefits of creative writing for young minds to prosper in thought and imagination.
We love our subscribers and readership population like they are members of our family. The family has grown large now and we were proud to announce back in 2017 that we hit the 500,000-subscriber mark. We value each relationship and appreciate the trust each of our subscribers entrusts to us.
We always try to make them feel special, which you would think would be difficult with that many family members at the table. We make sure that each subscriber feels the love by offering first priority access to our events and our new publications.
We like to share exclusive opportunities and provide valuable content and information for our readership, so that they know being a part of the family is worthwhile.
There are a lot of blog and writing sites out there and we know our reader’s time is valuable, the fact that they choose us is priceless.
Our mission is a dear to our heart. We are here to build an true community of women writers and to flame their fire of writing into published works of informational and imaginative art.

Many of our writers at Miostorie are members of the WFWA which is a major force in the fiction writing arena for women.
An inclusive organization of writers creating layered stories in which the plot is driven by the main character's emotional journey. Women’s Fiction Writers Association has made huge changes in the way we define and support women’s fiction writing.
Many of our writers at Miostorie are members of the National Writers Union.
The NWU in keeping with it's mission to defend writers’ rights and improve writers’ economic conditions is able to provide a host of resources, benefits, and services to a large writing community.
The writers at Miostorie support and are members at the Women’s National Book Association. The WNBA’s founding idea, that books have power and that those involved in their creation gain strength from joining forces is an idea we support in our organization. Our relationship with WNBA is a synergistic approach to serving women writer members across all walks of life.
A very important topic that is discussed daily with our Miostorie staff is the topic of free expression through writing. We are proud to be supporters of PEN America, who stand at the intersection of literature and human rights to protect open expression in the United States and worldwide.
Pen America champions the freedom to write, recognizing the power of the word to transform the world. We share their mission is to unite writers and their allies to celebrate creative expression and defend the liberties that make it possible.
Many of the writers are science fiction and fantasy authors. As a result, many team members at Miostorie support and are members of the Science Fiction Writers Association of America.

Many of the writers at Miostorie are proud to be members of the International Women’s Writing Guild. The Guild was founded in 1976. As a women’s writing guild, they are culturally diverse. From the beginning, they have represented women from many backgrounds.
The Guild wanted to make a place where all women writers feel welcome, inspired, and empowered by skills, resources, and mentoring.
Now, after 40 years of enriching women writers’ lives, the International Women’s Writing Guild is still growing and changing with the times and supporting women in writing in every facet of physical and digital media.
